Legends Inn staff is very considerate when it comes to all family members. We love animals but, we do have a business to run. Allowing guests to bring their pets to our hotel often presents challenges, and at the very least, always results in additional work for the housekeepers. To help offset these additional cleaning costs, the daily pet fees are charged. All pet owners are asked to be considerate of our property, follow our pet policies, take full responsibility for their pets while they stay at our hotel, and accept full responsibility for any damages and/or additional cleaning costs caused by their pets. Housekeepers appreciate your gratitude.

PET FEES AND POLICIES

All pets must be approved of by Legends Inn staff when you check-in. If you fail to inform staff when you check in that you are traveling with pet(s), you will be charged a minimum $25 fee per pet per day. Legends Inn reserves the right - at our sole discretion - to refuse a pet(s) stay.

As with most hotels, if your pet is not clean or is not an "inside" pet, they will not be allowed in our motel rooms.

For each dog under 15 pounds, the rate is $10 per day.

For each dog over 15 pounds, the rate is $15 per day.

For each cat, the rate is $25.00 per cat per day.

In addition to the daily pet fees, each pet owner may be required to put up a $25 damage/cleaning deposit.

If there are any damages to property, the deposit will not be refunded and additional charges may apply.

If there are lingering pet smells or excessive pet hair in your room at check out time, the deposit will not be refunded and additional charges may apply. Our reputation for providing extremely clean rooms is critical to our business success. When offensive pet smells or excessive amounts of dog hair are left in a room, the room can not be rented again until staff can strip the room of all fabrics and curtains, clean the walls and baseboards, shampoo the carpet and chairs, and let the room air out overnight. Or longer. 

Under no circumstances can pets be left alone or unaccompanied in our rooms, or on the property. If you have three or more pets traveling with you, they must all be kept in kennels/crates while in the room. If your dog is not well behaved, you must keep them in a kennel. All cats must be kept in kennels. Old sheets are available to spread out under litter boxes. 

As a pet owner, please be thoughtful and courteous to other guests, always clean up after your pet(s) and keep them out of the hotel gardens. And please, do not let them do their business in our gardens. There is an area of grass at the back of the hotel where the dogs can take care of business. Junction has a local vet if needed, and there is also a groomer in town in case Scruffy needs a bath.

Under no circumstances can you bathe your pets at our motel. You always have the option of taking them to the groomer, or for a dip in the Llano River. However, they can not take a dip in our swimming pool or be in the pool area due to State regulations. If your dog goes to the river, or if they get wet or muddy while staying at the motel, old towels are available for you to clean and dry them with. Just ask for these towels at the office. Please do not let your pet back into the room until they are clean and dry.

If your pet is going to hang out on the beds, old sheets are available from the office for you to spread out on the bed. Please be considerate of this - many people have very sensitive allergies and it is very hard to wash all pet hair and dander out of linens and bedspreads. For those dogs and cats that think they are human, in addition to sheets to spread out on the bed, we might even be able to round up some old pillows for them to lay their cute little heads on (pillows that we no longer use, of course). Please, just let us know what you will need when you make your reservation and we will do our best to accommodate that special member of your household. 

Remember to bring a crate if your pet is not well trained and please keep your pet in the crate. If your pet has accidents on the carpet there will be a minimum charge of $50 to shampoo the carpet. If they chew up a piece of furniture, you must pay for it. If they ruin a bedspread, you must pay for it. If you bathe your pet in our bathtub, there will be a minimum charge of $75 to cover the extra time it takes the housekeepers to clean the bathroom, shampoo the carpet and eliminate the wet pet smell. Which can take days. At the daily rate. There is a groomer in town that does a fine job, and he is very reasonable on his rates, too.
