Are you looking for Pet-Friendly Hotel or Motel in Junction, Texas? 

Pets are welcome at our hotel. We've had birds, lizards, turtles, and all kinds of critters come through.  Personally, we prefer the standard four legged pets such as dogs, but the Legends Inn staff is very considerate when it comes to the "family members" of our guests. 

 

In return, we ask that you follow our pet policies.

 

PET POLICIES 

All pets must be approved of by Legends Inn staff when you check-in. Legends Inn staff reserves the right - at our sole discretion - to refuse a pet(s) stay. We charge a small pet fee of $5.00 per pet, per day. There is also a $25 deposit required for cats. Pet fees are strictly enforced and if you fail to tell us when you check in that you are traveling with pet(s), you will be charged a $25 fee per pet, which is the industry standard. At this time, we do not have a weight limit for dogs, but if you have three or more animals traveling with you, they all must be kept in kennels. 

 

As a pet owner, please be thoughtful and courteous to other guests, always clean up after your pet(s) and keep them out of our gardens. There is a large vacant lot next door where the dogs can exercise and take care of business. Junction has a local vet if you were to need one and there is a new groomer in town in case Scruffy needs a bath.

 

We ask that you not leave your pets unattended or alone in the room and, please bathe them at home. You always have the option of taking them for a dip in the Llano River. However, they can not take a dip in our swimming pool or be in the pool area due to State regulations. If your dog goes to the river, or if they get wet or muddy while staying at the hotel, we have old towels available for you to clean and dry them with. Just ask for these towels at the office. Also, it is very hard to get the pet hair and dander out of linens and bedspreads, so we ask that you be considerate of this. If your pet is going to hang out on the beds, we have old sheets available for you to spread out. And, for those dogs and cats that think they are human, we might even be able to round up some old pillows for them to lay their cute little heads on (pillows that we no longer use, of course). All you have to do is let us know what you will need when you make your reservation and we will do our best to accommodate that special member of your household. 

 

The policy in most pet-friendly hotels or motels is that guests are responsible for any damages created by their pets and the Legends Inn is no different. In other words, you are responsible for any and all damages or messes your pet creates and you will be charged accordingly. Please bring a kennel if your pet is not well trained and please keep your pet in the kennel. If your pet has accidents on the carpet there will be a minimum charge of $25 to shampoo the carpet. If they chew up a piece of furniture, you must pay for it. If they ruin a bedspread, you must pay for it. If you bathe your pet in our bathtub, there will be a minimum charge of $50 to cover the extra time it takes the housekeepers to clean the bathroom, shampoo the carpet and eliminate the wet pet smell. Remember, there is a groomer in town that does a fine job and he is very reasonable on his rates. We have taken Ginger in for grooming and a tour of his boarding facilities, which are very nice.

If you have browsed our website, you are familiar with Ginger, our "boss". We adopted her from a rescue shelter in 2003. She is a Collie and Australian shepherd mix and we aren't real sure of her age. But, we are sure of how much we love her and how much she loves us. Ginger really does act like she owns the place. She is very protective and like most kids, she does misbehave from time to time. Be aware that she is also a very good watchdog. Ginger will bark and since she's a big dog, it's a big bark! Unless she has a very good reason to do otherwise, she is harmless and just wants everyone to know that this is her home. Especially the other dogs.
