The Legends Inn Motel in Junction Texas is known to many bikers that cruise through Kimble County and the Texas Hill Country. Junction offers bikers a casual and friendly small town atmosphere, good places to eat out, limited traffic, a beautiful area, a variety of lodging choices and, of course, discount lodging at one of the most favored motels - the Legends Inn!
If you need a home base for day trips around the Texas Hill Country, Junction is a great hub location. We invite you to explore our area, ride the favorite routes, enjoy the views, see the attractions, visit your favorite hangouts, and return to our home in Junction for a relaxing evening and a comfortable nights sleep at the Legends Inn.
All hotels and motels in Junction Texas help to accommodate riders and Junction motorcycle rallies throughout the year as well as the Tour de Forts bicycle ride. Most bikers appreciate the fact that our rallies are smaller and no one has to contend with thousands of riders in town at the same time. At this point, each rally has no more than 200 attendees. They start arriving on Wednesday, settle into their Junction motel and then gear up for three to five days of riding the beautiful roads of the Hill Country.
If you need more information about planning an itinerary for the Junction area, or if there's anything we can do to make your visit better, just let us know. Please ask for Denise when you call.

Geezers & Scalawags Hill Country Tour
Thousands of bikers pass through the Texas Hill Country each year, but this is one of our favorite rally groups. There's fun to be had by all when the Geezers & Scalawags visit the hotels and motels in Junction, Texas. Most of these guys are executives, doctors, lawyers, business owners, or just lazy and retired. (Just kidding Johnny!)
Each year our rally riders look forward to getting away from the rat race of city life to enjoy the freedom of the road and the small-town welcome that our motel in Junction offers.

For those groups that fill us up for three or four days and hang around long enough to get to know us, we might even share a few meals.

Want some brisket or potato salad?
Kevin is full of beans.

Who is cooking tonight?

Just hanging out.
Have you met Ginger? This dog also hangs out...... waiting for handouts.

And, she has been at the BBQ pit again!
(We prefer that guests ask us before feeding her.)
If you would like to add Junction to your groups itinerary, we would love to have you.

"The Texas Road Eyes" visited the Alamo on their tour of the Texas Hill Country, April 2009. We're thrilled that they chose Junction to be their hub this year and look forward to seeing them every year at Legends Inn!

If you choose to make Junction your hub for some day trips and haven't had the pleasure of touring the Hill Country, you may want to try the following route. It's spectacular!!! If you do it right, you'll see the incredible diversity that Texas has to offer in about four hours; Trans Pecos terrain to the West; S. Texas terrain to the South; and Hill Country terrain to the East.
Be careful - twisty roads, lots of hills, and some hairpin turns.
DIRECTIONS:
From Junction, take 377 South to 41 and head east. Make a right on 335 and head south. This is where the scenery is so incredible. When you get to Barksdale, take 55 over to Camp Wood. This is a good place to stop and have some lunch. Then, get back on 55 going west to Rocksprings and connect back up with 377. Head north to get back to Junction.
We're not kidding when we say this drive is spectacular! The diversity of the terrain on this short trip is unbelievable! Also, the spring-fed, crystal clear water of the Nueces River flows through the limestone bluffs of the Edwards Plateau to create a shining example of one of the most scenic river trips in Texas, so you might want to canoe this section at some point so you can see all of it. But, we'll talk about that another time. Just make sure you have plenty of storage space on your camera before you head out on the bike. The estimated four hours for the ride includes stopping to take photos, etc. You might want to add some more time so you can eat lunch in Campwood. We recommend 55 Diner (hamburgers) or the Casa Falcon (Mexican food).
You can extend the ride by adding another loop: When you get to 41 from 335, take a right instead. Head over to 336, take another right heading south down to Leakey. Take 337 heading west, back to Campwood. Then it's back to 55 and 83. You'll to see the Frio River Canyon by adding this 336 loop. It's not as spectacular as the Nuesis, but it's still a beautiful ride. It will probably add at least another hour or so onto the ride.
One of our rally riders (Karan Newsom) was kind enough to share the following photos from the 2007 S & G Hill Country Tour. All images within this website are protected by copyright, so please do not copy or use them in any way without permission.
